About Me

My name is Rachael Haas, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor associate (LMHCA) in Washington State. I am holistically minded and have a very relaxed demeanor. As your counselor, I will meet you where you are at and work alongside you throughout the therapeutic process to help you reach your goals.

Originally from Florida, I have spent many years living in places throughout the East Coast, Europe, and Asia, now finding myself in Washington State. I love spending time outside and spending time with my spouse and our animals, living simply.

Approach

I work primarily with adults aged 25 and up located in the state of Washington, offering individual therapy via telehealth. Whether it is navigating relationships, life transitions, grief and loss, or chronic illness, my goal is to create a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space for you to explore, heal, and grow. We can work together to help you reach your goals while healing deep wounds and planting new seeds for growth.

My approach is integrative and person-centered. I utilize different theories and modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and existential therapy. I also have a background in applied behavior analysis with an emphasis on autism and enjoy utilizing that lens as clinically appropriate. Change is inevitable in life, and my focus lies in helping individuals navigate life changes, both expected and unexpected, creating adaptive behaviors, and helping build meaningful and healthy lives and relationships.

Reaching out can be the most difficult part sometimes, especially when we are going through a challenging time. I offer a free, no-pressure 15-minute phone call if you'd like to chat before booking your first session with me.

I also hold a certification in meditation instruction and have completed 1500 hours of supervised training in behavior analysis and two counseling internships.
